INFORMATION
Types of Docks and Materials
Types of Docks and Materials
United Docks, LLC. specializes in aluminum structures. In some cases, steel may be used but we feel that aluminum is typically a better option. In today’s market, steel is more cost-effective than aluminum but requires more maintenance over the years. Pound for pound, aluminum is stronger than steel. There is no better material to combat the corrosion problem of water on metal. Our aluminum structures require very little maintenance. We work with clients to determine which material best serves their needs. Once the material for your structure is selected, you will need to determine if stationary or a floating structure would work best. This is determined by the depth of water, currents, and typical wind speeds and direction for that area.
Computer Aided Design
United Docks, LLC. use state of the art CAD software in custom designing each structure. This assures our clients that any issue with the custom dock is resolved in the design room before it even hits the fabrication floor. Clients will be given the opportunity to review a drawing and make changes as necessary to ensure the dock of their dreams is the dock that is delivered.

United Docks, LLC. under construction
At United Docks, LLC. we have developed custom designed extrusions and frame components by studying the mechanical and environmental stresses docks are exposed to over the years. These extrusions and frame components are what make our docks unique and strong enough to hold up to the demands of any lake, current, or depth. Quality is our top priority. Every structure is framed and designed to withstand the harshest demands.
Roof Systems
Every structure we build has its own custom roof design. We offer every style of roof under the sun. Our unique designs allow us to build everything from a standard gable roof, hip roof, or upper deck. Our 4’’ octagon roof post allows you to maximize your deck space. We are the only dock builder that can build a combo upper deck with sheds on all four sides. United Dock offers its customers 26 and 29 gauge R-Panel and Tuff Rib in 18 different colors and finishes for all its metal gable and hip roof designs. We are also able to do any composite or tile roof to match your home.
Retrofit Docks
If you have an existing dock that has a good bone structure, yet it is showing its age. We can update your dock with new materials and certain design elements. This could breathe new life into an old dock for your family to enjoy. Call United Dock today and let’s discuss the possibilities of retrofitting your existing dock.
